What inspired you to start your own business? And why this business, what drives you?

The spark to begin my own business ignited from an unquenchable thirst for creation and growth. As I reflect on my journey, I can’t help but feel the magnetic allure of entrepreneurship. Despite finding fulfillment in the corporate world, an insistent tug to build and innovate propelled me onward. The idea of crafting my destiny resonated deeply, echoing the spirit of my childhood dreams. These dreams, kindled during those early years, ignited a flame of autonomy and boundless creativity that has burned unwaveringly.

Then, in 2022, a profound experience walking the Way of Saint James for nearly 1000km served as a pivotal point. It illuminated my path and reaffirmed my commitment to pursuing the dreams that once lit up my youthful imagination. And so, with a heart full of sentiment, I echo the words, “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.” This universal truth underscores the courage required to embrace leaps of faith. Each step I take as an entrepreneur is a step toward realizing those dreams, shaped by childhood wonder and fueled by an unyielding determination to conquer new horizons.

What are some of the most essential things you did to get your business off the ground?

AMACON’s successful launch hinged on tailored value, strategic networking, and a strong online presence. Personalized outreach nurtured direct client relationships, addressing individual needs and building trust. Women entrepreneur networks amplified reach, fostering collaboration within a supportive community.

How did you build your customer base and grow your business?

Our business growth came from strategic actions. Targeted networking at industry events forged connections, while thought leadership on social media showcased expertise. Personalized outreach addressed client needs directly. Leveraging women entrepreneur networks expanded our reach, and pro-bono workshops demonstrated our commitment. A client-centric focus ensured exceptional service, fostering loyalty.

What are some of the biggest mistakes you made along the way, and what did you learn from them?

A significant mistake was solely focusing on interim Executive management (Interim Leadership) early on, limiting growth and team potential. Learning from this, we realized the value of embracing diverse expertise and broadening business horizons. Consequently, AMACON diversified into leadership development programs and strategy consultancy, capitalizing on multidisciplinary strengths. This mistake taught us that rigid focus can hinder innovation. Embracing versatility led to untapped potential, driving growth and positioning us as a dynamic consultancy player.

What is your biggest achievement since founding the company, and how did you get there?

Our major achievement has been crafting a tailoring leadership development program, the result of extensive experience and practicality. Recognizing that leadership development extends beyond training, we introduced personalized 1-1 coaching post the leadership development journey for sustained impact. Our aim is to manifest the values from the development program and continuously support our clients. Furthermore, our strategy consultancy further fuels growth for start-ups and scale-ups.However, we are currently finding our way towards the corporate world- My former homebase of business.

What advice do you have for other women who want to start their own business?

To aspiring female entrepreneurs hesitating to start their own business, my top advice is to believe in your potential and embrace your unique strengths. Each successful journey begins with a single step, and yours is no exception. Acknowledge doubts but don’t let them define you. Surround yourself with a supportive network, seek mentors, and ask for help. Challenges are growth opportunities. Failure is part of the journey, not the end. It’s a chance to pivot, refine, and return stronger. Your ideas are valuable. Trust yourself, take that leap, and remember, you’re not alone. Many of us faced uncertainty and achieved remarkable things. Your voice matters. Embrace entrepreneurship with confidence. You’ve got this!
