Two weeks ago, FEM-START welcomed MEWEM, a company dedicated to supporting women in the music industry, to Amsterdam. This visit was an opportunity to exchange ideas, share expertise, and explore future collaborations—emphasizing the importance of working together across Europe to create lasting impact.
Day 1: Inspiration & Insights
The program started at Equals, where two inspiring female entrepreneurs shared their experiences:
- Nicolette Lazarus (Womanship) spoke about her work empowering women in the maritime industry.
- Manon Pelletier (Archipelæ) presented her creative agency and its mission to amplify unique voices.
Later, the group visited the Van Gogh Museum for a cultural experience, followed by a visit to Startdockhosted by The Angel Initiativeand a presentation by Wiegertje Groeneveld of The Angel Initiative. Later on Dieuwke Hooglandand Sandrine Vilcot of Female Ventures, an organization dedicated to supporting female entrepreneurs, introduced them to it.
Day 2: Shaping the Future
A collaborative brainstorm session focused on developing future partnerships. The discussions reinforced the power of cross-border cooperation, showing how industries and countries can work together to create meaningful opportunities for women in entrepreneurship and music.
This exchange made one thing clear: collaboration across Europe is essential for driving real change. Strengthening these connections will open doors for future generations of female leaders.
